We all know how cats come into our homes and into our lives, but what most people don’t know is that cats are a match to spiritual people. Cat owners are usually people with enhanced spiritual abilities, but why are they drawn to cats, or better say, why are cats drawn to spiritual empowered people?

cats and spiritual owners

Cats are in fact drawn to spiritual people, as cats have an energy that connects with higher realms. Cat is a spiritual animal as it relies on its spiritual abilities, as well as its catlike instincts. Here is how: As a cat grows so does its energy field. The older the cat, the bigger the energetic body. This means that as time passes, a cat gathers more spiritual power. It can sense a spirit, it can even communicate with one. They also love chasing fairies around the garden. How many times did you see a cat chasing something that you cannot see? Cats also capture sounds that you cannot hear, as they become accustomed to a different higher frequency.

Spiritual People have a bigger energy field that attracts cats. Cats can trust those people more easily than others. Similarly, people with big energy fields, are drawn to cats because of their own high frequency. Think of it like two people who are a match vibrationally. One can keep up with the other, keep them on track and level their energy. If you communicate with a person that is grumpy and low in energy, while you are happy and full of positivity, there is a mismatch of energy that neither one enjoys. So cats are picky on who they trust because they can easily understand each one’s frequency field. This does not mean that cats only choose people who practice spirituality. Not at all, when I say “spiritual people” I mean people who have more innate connection. Some don’t practice any form of spirituality, they don’t meditate but they have greater connection with their higher self. They are intuitive, they trust their inner guidance, they are positive. Those people have a higher energy field, even if they do not know it.

Did you ever see a cat run away from a child? If the child treats it nicely of course, they love to hang out with them. it is known that children have the purest hearts and greatest connection with their higher self.

cat powers

Since cats have such a high intuition and energy, when they purr at someone, or try to get a person’s attention, it is a sign that this person has a good energy field. One of my cats for instance, is very shy, and every time people come in the house, he literally disappears. He freaks out when other people are around, but he “magically” decides to show up when specific people are with us. Every time these people join us, he shows up so cuddly and calm, even if he didn’t see these people before. He picks up their energy and decides to show up only to those that their energy approves!

Cats love cuddles, and a cat’s hug elevates our own energy and calms us down. Remember, a cat will not cuddle with just anyone, only those it trusts. As cats trust someone, they love to show affection and share part of their vibration to those people. Once they do we instantly feel relaxed and at peace. They usually share their energy with us as we pet or hug them.

Didn’t you notice how cats love to keep us company? That’s another benefit I want to mention, as they help us fight those lonely nights! They love our company; they are comfortable around our energy field. If we are upset, a cat can either insist for attention so that they help to calm us down, or disappears until our energy is calm and peaceful once again.

cats and spirits

Cats alert us on spirits that are present in the house. As their energy field is strong enough they can easily see and identify those spirits. If at any time they sense negative spirit, bolder cats will hiss at them to protect their territory. not all spirits are bad of course, if they do notice a kindred spirit, they usually stare for a while and then they go back to their thing. This is because they immediately know the energy vibration a spirit carries. If they come for good, then let them carry on!

cats and energy

Am I a vibrational match to my cat? (*updated*)

I get a very similar question often, “Why does a cat feels drawned to me?” or “why does a cat attack others?

It all has to do with energy. We all have energy or vibrational fields around us and they are a representation of our thoughts, emotions, life’s path, journey and focused attention. This energy changes, shifts, vibrates grows or limits in intensity. When you are happy and relaxed this energy is light, light in vibration, more pure. For others, it’s the opposite. Cats have a more steady energy field, their focused attention allows them to be more connected to earth, and to be more attracted in positive energies. That is why they prefer children, they often chase butterflies or other insects, and you might see them seeing something, or observe something that you can’t see (yes you guessed right angels and fairies and spirits). Similarly they prefer people and homes that the energy is lighter, they feel more relaxed in such environment. If you see them hiss and attack someone they are not a match to their vibration. More similarly (based on my cat) they hide as far away as they can, when some people visit while they come out to play and say “hi” when others are around. I’m sure you noticed that too. These shifts have to do with the cat’s personality, they can attack or hide from something unwanted and unpleasant.

On that degree if the environment they live in is not up their vibrational standards they become depressed, anxious, hide a lot and/ or attack members of the house. This can also be true if they sense negative spirit attachments on some people. Do you have a cat? Then consider this: didn’t your cat come out to play with you when you were in a “better mood” or shows up when you are feeling low? That’s right when you are feeling low. Here’s why, cats that love you so so dearly come to lift your energy by rubbing against you and sharing some of their uplifting energy to your aura.

So if your cat hates some of your relatives, you know why. If on the other hand they suddenly become edgy and attack others or even you, have that be a lesson that they are only reacting to your energy and environment. When this happens let this be a reminder to put your life in order, chill, remove yourself from stressful people and situations that lower your energy and sage yourself and the house.

when a cat chooses you

Do you want to own a furry friend? Just wait for it.

Here’s an interesting story. My sister wanted a cat. It just came to her out of nowhere one day, even if she was never a fan of the feline friends. (That has to do with Divine inspiration, your higher self knows what you want at any time.) However she didn’t do much about it. She kept saying it over and over to people but something didn’t quite clicked enough to respond to people when they offered to give her one of those new kitties being born.

To my surprise she comes all excited and lighted one day saying she owns a cat. Not just any cat, an adult black cat, (that was the one color she said she didn’t want). That cat found itself one day in her yard, he was just there. He was there for 2 days sitting on the same spot in her yard. She found herself drawn to it, she feed it, she observed it, she became friends with it. just like that, now the cat is in her house (even if she said she didn’t want any cats living in the house). He was a perfect match to her, he was drawn to her and now believe it or not he is one of her best friends!

So my point in all of this is that once you set the intention of owning a cat, the perfect one for you shows up. One that is in a perfect vibrational match to what you really need. Feel free to observe, visit some fellow cats available for adoption but listen to your inner guidance before you commit. If you feel a spark, if it’s love at first sight, then its energy and your energy are a perfect match! Or just ask and let it come to you.

    Hello

I am spiritual and although I already had a male tabby I also wished he had a sister. One day a little tortoiseshell female kitten showed up she was feral and almost dead but I nursed her back to health and she is the most loyal and spiritual soul I know. Although it took years for her to fully trust being wild and all she protects me and my older male cat sam. I always felt like she found me and she did meowing on my front door step. They are both indoor cats with a large outdoor catery. When life has been hard or when I am sick they both sleep either side of my head. Their is a knowing about them. My male cat is always rubbing the top of my head. And my female cat has hissed and growled in bed and chased off invisible things to protect us. She also growls if she deems a threat including anyone outside my home. Am so blessed to have these beautiful souls in my life. We are soul cats mates.

Hi everyone im sending you all loving energies. Well for starters, Just like your sister i too wanted a cat. I didn’t have any known mice or anything. I just felt the need for a cat. I’ve had cats in the past growing up. Its been a while since ive had any animals in my life besides visiting friends. When i visit friends their cats always end up under me and will just stay by me until i leave. This made me more eager to have one of my own. So I made a Facebook post and asked did anyone have kittens. 2 of my friends replied both whom i know personally. They were both going to be born the same month. I got so excited to know i had my pick. Suddenly a one friend said hey I’m going to need some money for my kittens. Meanwhile the friend was like please come get them lol. So i decided to go with free. But it also felt right and her cat was so beautiful. When she sent me a picture of her i knew this was the one. I get to her house to pick out the kitten. It was 4. 2 that was white with grey like the mother and 2 all grey. When i came in the mother greeted me by rubbing my leg. When the owner took all of them out i knew instantly which 1 was mine. She was the runt but independent. Instantly the mother came over rubbed her head against her and walked away. She knew i picked her. Cats are so wise and mystical. Their is way more than some of us can even understand. Im highly intuitive and this may even be a little weird. I can see her spirit enter the room before she does. Well thats just abilities that im learning that i have. All in all im so greatful for my cuddly best friend more like my daughter. She brings immense joy to my home.❤✌

Hi, I am able to tell amazing stories that actually happened to me concerning cats. But here’s just two of them. If you ever wondered if cats have telepathic abilities, the answer is yes but just as we have also. If you’re connected with your cat, you’ll might be contacted by your beloved friend when the cat needs you. For once it was the way around. When I was a child I went to the cellar to get something. However I must have forgotten to close the door that led to the hallway. I had a profound connection with my cat and she followed me into the cellar without my knowledge. The moment I found myself in the living room again I suddenly had an urge to find her. I couldn’t find her and panicked. I searched everywhere until I thought about the cellar. So I opened the door that leads to the cellar. I asked if she was there and there she was meowing and telling me in a way I never had seen before how she was scared. Being alone in the cellar, being left behind was what frightened her. Why did I had the urge to find her all sudden? Because she was wondering where I was, why she couldn’t find me and why she stayed behind. Plain and simple.

It’s many years now that she departed, 21 years ago. I still think about her and talk to her. When at a weak moment I went to memory lane and began to cry and said her name several times, she came to my rescue. She was there, although I could not see her I sure could feel her. It’s that certain cold that you fell that’s just not everywhere but at once place. With your hands you can actually feel if the being/spirit is big or small. It was small, the size of a cat. At that moment I was in bed more in a fetus position because I was feeling so sad. Her presence was so strong and she settle in between my belly and legs (as I was in a fetus position). I felt the contoures of her and was caressing her. She stayed for a while.

These 2 examples did happen, she’s still visiting me and one time I went to visit her. Yes, you guessed it, I’m spiritual in nature. Had much what people call supernatural/paranormal experiences all my life. It’s a part of us and I’ve embraced that since I was a child. Seen incredible things. We stay connected with our beloved pets. I can not always see or feel their presence, once a (real) psychic told me that there are more cats visiting me often. Guess what? In total we had 7 cats but not all at once.

My young daughter always said she wanted a white cat. One day in our backyard a white male cat (Green eyes and a few gray markings) just mysteriously appeared while my husband was mowing our lawn. He sat there watching us. My daughter fed him. We put up signs all over town (posted on Facebook, called around) saying we found this white cat – is anybody missing a white cat? Nobody came forward to claim him. My husband always thought he was allergic to cats but not this cat – he was fine with him. We had him for about a year, took care of him, brought him to the vet for shots, health check ups, we had him neutered, too. We also got him microchipped. My daughter named him Snowball. We all totally loved this cat. He loved being outside and mid-October of this year I put him outside with his collar and tie out… he escaped out of his collar and ran away. (I feel like it’s my fault he escaped -I should have stayed with him while he was outside.) We put up posters everywhere, told radio stations, called vet clinics, humane societies, placed online notices for him -( I’m still not giving up on finding him). He’s been gone three months now and it’s a very cold winter here in Minnesota. I hope if someone had found him they would take him inside to be warm.
While we were looking for Snowball at a nearby vet clinic a lady brought out a white female cat and asked if this was it. This four month old kitten was a stray that needed a home. (They hadn’t named her yet). We told her it wasn’t our cat Snowball. We kept thinking about this cat, too. We thought that maybe we could give her a home and that her and Snowball could be friends (once he returned). I called the vet clinic and the lady told me that the white kitten was to be adopted… but if they don’t come to claim her that we could have her. (The people never showed up to pick her up.) We came back to get her (we are still heartbroken losing our cat Snowball) – the people at the vet clinic had named her “Angel”. She has been an angel to our family for sure. She is mostly white, with some gray and a few orange markings and a calico-looking tail. She has really blue eyes -she loves us and we love her, too. We still hope and pray for the return of Snowball to our family, but having Angel has really helped heal our hearts.

I have a Black female , she is now 3 years old. She has a lot of energy. I got her from the shelter. She had a sister that she was chasing and playing with when I first saw her. It was truly love at first sight. She makes me laugh all the time.

  8. Lucy

I keep having lucid dreams about particular cats afew days before i meet them….the scenes always play out exactly as i saw them in my dreams. They are often just neighbourhood cats . Any theories to what this means?

    1. Amelia

That is very interesting Lucy. From my understanding each of them has close connection to you spiritually. Many often cats are spirit animals. If that is the case try to meditate on the images you saw in in your lucid dreams to understand any messages or assistance they wish to give you.

  9. Traci

I knew milo wwwwaasssss it before I ever laid eyes on him . I’m lost without him now.

when I was very ill with flu, staying in bed all day and night, my girl kitty slept on my chest (as I typically sleep on my back) for two days. she would also put her face so close to mine and stare into my eyes, rub her face on me and use her nose to “kiss” me. her brother/blood slept at my side through the duration. and finally, our baby who is 3 years younger and affectionate in s more distant manner, he would crawl under blankets, lay on my belly and suckle my shirt. I have to laugh that I am such a “wonderful person” because these kitties give me, show me so much unconditional love; I learn from them and have been practicing UL in my connections with family, friends, strangers. I am ALL IN on cats. THANK YOU for this beautiful explanation.

I owned a black-white cat 1 years ago. After that it changed my life. I has really bad relationships with men before him. There happened a relationship based on love between me and the cat (Loki- his name). Actually my kids wanted to own it. since his mother left him when he was a baby, he adopted me like a mother. after 6 months, my son’s friend decided to leave his cat from house, only after 2 weeks from the adoption. I took that one, too. It was a girl and she would be a good friend of the one in my house. Then short-term lockdown in my country started. I, my kids and they started to have enjoyable times at home together. On 9th May, my kids’ grandmother died. We were very sad, since we couldnt join into her funeral, due to the lockdown. 2 days later, I saw somthing different habits and attitudes on the female cat. I took her to the veterinary and learned she would have given birth. She got pregnant, before she came to my house. I experienced a birth on my bed. I took cared of her and the babies. It was a therapy for all of us. Specifically for me. I had her live the best during her lactation period. It was somehow what i didnt live during mine several years ago. It was somethinf repairment of my past traumas. 1 month ago, i saw something related to the cats in my dream, after doing a deep meditation. Againg birth happens and she is giving birth 8 black kittens. How should I read this dream?

I have a ginger tabby that I call Mika. He used to be a stray and nobody could approach him. One day as I came out, he jumped on the fence to get away as fast as possible. And I talked to him and said “No, no, please don’t go”. He looked at me in the strangest way and came back. I began to feed him, first outside, then inside. One day he vanished and stayed away for 3 days.
I was devastated. He finally came back, heavily wounded because he got hit by a car. He had an operation and recovered in a bench for 5 weeks. He was in so much pain. I took care of him night and day and I was exhausted. But this ginger tabby had stolen my heart and I was determined to save him. Today, he is fine. He is the sweetest boy in the world. Every day I tell him how perfect he is. Every night he sleeps on the bed with me. Sometimes he moves me so much that I start crying because I get completely overwhelmed by his love. Mika helped me to heal my soul and I helped him to heal his body. We are one.

Reading this and all of the shared stories have made me realize that It wasn’t just by chance that I got my cat. I plan on moving next year to a different state for college and I will be living alone so I had already started thinking about adopting a feline friend. I planned on getting a cat whenever I move so that I could have a companion but little did I know that I would have one much sooner. My friend’s father had rescued a kitten from being mauled by a pack of dogs but he did not have any intention of keeping it. I went over to my friend’s house that day to hang out when she told me about the situation but she had not seen the cat that he rescued because it was somewhere in her front yard. We made an attempt to look for her but we could not find her anywhere. That night as I was leaving, the kitten ran in front of my car which made me stop. I got out to see if I could find her and she came right to me. I was expecting her to be very shy and skittish but she was so friendly and I could not help myself and put her into my car and took her home with me. I was not planning on keeping her but it was almost like something inside of me knew that I was going to keep her forever. It is just wild to me that when I set the intention to own a cat she came to me so quickly. I cannot even explain the bond I have with her because it is different from any other bond that I have had with a pet. She trusts me wholeheartedly and after reading this I realize how meant to be we really are.

Yes. My cat like to be with me but hide from my mom.

  15. Mary Jo Verissimo

This is very interesting. I was wondering why cats always gravitate towards me even stray cats. I am a spiritual person I didn’t know that is why they do. Good to know…I enjoyed this article.

  16. Lori

This has been a very interesting article. So, within a two week period, I had a cat run away, and I had to put my second one down. Very devastating. It took a while for me to finally relent to a friend of mine who kept telling me her neighbor had a lot of kittens. She just wanted to see them go to a good home. I kept saying I was not ready. Finally, I gave in. With the intention of only taking one cat home. Well, that changed. I had the one cat in tow. This really cute orange and white tabby ran in front of me meowing profusely. I looked at her and said no, I am only taking one of you home today. This happened a total of three times. I figured she must sense something I do not. So, to say the least, she went home with me also. I am glad today. Both of my girls are the sweetest. Plus they have company while I am work.

  17. David

Absolutely loved your view on cats. In the past, I used to think of myself as more of a dog person (had a Golden retriever for about 14 years). After renting an appartment, a friend of mine decided it was time to go for a cat and gave me one for my birthday. She’s been part of my life ever since. Little furry even got to decide her own name. Her first miauw was “Mawa”, so I just call her that. Each time I call her, she just replies with “Mawawa” and comes over to where I’m at, curls up and purrs and sleeps on my lap. Ever since, there’s this positive energy going around the place. It’s like coming home to a safe place and having someone to talk to. Of course she doesn’t talk back, but the way she shows affection makes happy to come home.
She’s shy around strangers (when my mom pays me a visit for instance, she just hides underneath the bed). But when mom’s gone, she’s just waiting there at the door, expecting me to come home. Got to love those little creatures 😉 Props on your article!

Saturday, May 14, 2022 my wife and I had lunch with some friends of ours on their ranch. Afterwards we went to shopping and bought a bunch of flowers for our garden. We got home around 3pm, changed clothes and went outside to water the plants we bought and the garden as it was pretty dry.
After putting clothes in the washer, I was standing in the French doors in between our laundry room and our sunroom, talking to my wife when I heard a noise. I looked down and in a storage tub that we’d put by the door in case we had a leak, a small kitten was making the noise. I picked him up and realized it was only a day or so old. Now how did a newborn kitten get into our house, then into the storage box (18″x24″x18″) that we had place near the door since the roof tends to leak when it rains? No way a cat could have got into our house to drop it off there, so we’re under the impression that this is a God/spiritual thing.
My wife and I haven’t been big pet people so this was a big surprise for both of us. How to take care of a newborn kitten was not on our radar at all. And we did not have any idea of what to do or anything. We finally figured out a few things and got some supplies so we could feed it on a Sunday morning. I contemplated a name for him/her and thought about Spirit or Mystic. Monday evening, I was praying about all this and was told to name him for what he/she is and where it came from – God.
Sooo, that is our new kitten’s name God – so it doesn’t matter if it’s a male or female because God is Everything.
She and I had a spiritual type evening that first night. As I was reclining & meditating in my chair with the kitty (she was sleeping on my belly, next to my arm) I would get a wave of energy feeling and then she would jerk/move like she was getting a wave of energy too. This went on for about 15 minutes or so and then would start again a bit later. I don’t remember how many times this happened, but it was more than 2 or 3. So, even though I didn’t get much sleep, I was feeling really good during the day.

If that is the case try to meditate on the images you saw in in your lucid dreams to understand any messages or assistance they wish to give you.

when I was very ill with flu, staying in bed all day and night, my girl kitty slept on my chest (as I typically sleep on my back) for two days. she would also put her face so close to mine and stare into my eyes, rub her face on me and use her nose to “kiss” me. her brother/blood slept at my side through the duration. and finally, our baby who is 3 years younger and affectionate in s more distant manner, he would crawl under blankets, lay on my belly and suckle my shirt.

This is very interesting. I was wondering why cats always gravitate towards me even stray cats. I am a spiritual person I didn’t know that is why they do. Good to know…I enjoyed this article.
