Spiritual meaning of a snake

Many people have associated snakes with hate, revenge, cruelty. The truth, however, is further from that. If you see snakes repeatedly, if they appear on your path, or even in your home, it’s a good idea to pay close attention as they try to alert you of things to come.

Symbolism of a snake

The figure of a snake is one that will make you pause and wonder. it is not just about any other animal you simply pass on the street, or that you see often. This is because snakes are reptiles that like to hide; they don’t come out of the ground unless there is a reason. If you encounter one then the timing is not a coincidence.

Seeing a snake is a sign to embrace self-control and inner discipline. It is time to look within and find your inner strength, be reminded of your path and aim on the goals and the bigger picture. Don’t let events and circumstances threaten you, don’t lose your way.

You might experience some disturbances ahead, same as the snake that crawled out of its nest and found its way to you. Remember to find your inner strength and you can go through anything. Don’t let the image of a snake worry you, snakes are a representation of hope to any difficulty you might be facing, a reminder that if you focus on yourself and your strengths, anything will be alright.

Another meaning that snakes represent is the rebirth, the reshaping of your inner self that strengthens your world. You are facing a phase of “metamorphosis” that will result in a better version of yourself and your circumstances. Like the snake that sheds its old skin and gets another, you need some time to recover and complete the progress. Take things slow and know that great things lie ahead.

In ancient traditions, snakes were symbols of healing powers as well. New paths open up for you after this phase of your life and old wounds finally heal.

Snake as a spirit animal:

If you have a snake as an animal totem, then know that its powers include:

–    Healing powers from the connection with the earth

–    Re-shifting and changing, adjusting to situations and environments.

–    Quickly expanding and transforming, gaining new traits and knowledge.

–    Being conscious of people and situations that might be of a thread.

Snakes in dreams

Seeing a snake in your dreams once believed that it represents an enemy. A snake, however, means further shaping your talents, gifts, and perspectives, and encourages you to view situations in a different light.

The snake comes forward out from the shadow to the light to bring you a message, don’t ignore it and don’t fear it, instead focus on the messages it brings and be grateful for the reminder to find power from within.
